Engineering Manager

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead diverse engineering teams delivering large-scale onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. This role involves overseeing engineering activities across Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design stages to ensure safe, timely, budget-compliant, and standards-aligned execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams across several projects.
• Provide technical guidance and enforce engineering standards throughout project phases.
• Ensure on-time completion of engineering deliverables in line with project needs.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, resource allocation, and team performance in engineering.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, resolving issues efficiently.
• Organize and facilitate hazard identification (HAZID), hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, model reviews, and design assurance processes.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Assist in proposal preparation and evaluate technical bids when necessary.
• Promote a culture of engineering excellence, continual improvement, and safety adherence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 15 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Proven leadership experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Engineering Manager.
• Extensive involvement in Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams successfully.
• Experience managing major onshore and/or offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, leadership, and communication.
• Previous project experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Mandatory

Direct experience with Qatar Energy projects is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to LNG, gas processing, pipelines, offshore platforms, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
• Background in EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, or PMC firms.
• Experience managing culturally diverse engineering teams.
