Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and expand our software engineering team. This pivotal position involves guiding a group of talented engineers, shaping the technical direction of our products, and ensuring the delivery of robust and impactful software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing software engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Establish and implement the technical vision for products in line with business goals and industry standards.
- Design, develop, and evaluate technical architectures for sophisticated software systems.
- Champion agile methodologies and best practices throughout the engineering team.
- Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other departments to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain superior code quality and system maintainability via rigorous code and design reviews plus continuous improvement.
- Enhance efficiency and forecastability in a dynamic, agile environment.
- Promote a culture of innovation and ongoing learning within the team.
- Mentor senior technical staff and first-line managers to support growth and development.
- Establish strong partnerships with senior leadership, advocating for team priorities and needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software development and product engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership while managing multiple high-performing engineering teams.
- Proven technical expertise in architecture and design of software systems.
- Hands-on involvement with coding, conducting code reviews, and architectural design evaluations.
- Experienced in agile development processes and best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams.
- Track record of fostering and sustaining effective cross-department stakeholder relationships.
- A keen passion for technology and commitment to crafting innovative, impactful solutions.
