Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team in the EMEA region, particularly from the UK. This role demands hands-on leadership, combining managerial responsibilities with direct technical involvement. You will oversee a team of Forward Deployed Engineers responsible for deploying our North platform into customer environments, primarily in private cloud and on-premises settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to Forward Deployed Engineers across EMEA.
• Manage full lifecycle deployment of the North platform within private cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
• Take full responsibility for customer success from technical execution through delivery.
• Work in close alignment with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to influence enterprise AI delivery strategies.
• Coach your team on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable enterprise deployments.
• Enhance performance tuning for services such as OpenSearch, databases, and Kubernetes components.
• Establish scaling practices for GPU and CPU computing resources.
• Develop scalable processes and technologies to support rapid organizational growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience including proven leadership capabilities.
• Extensive practical experience deploying enterprise software at scale.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm package manager, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Demonstrated proactivity and problem-solving without requiring external prompts.
• A hands-on approach with a focus on execution and delivery.
• Previous experience managing engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to speak additional European languages.
• Experience working with AI and machine learning infrastructure.
• Background knowledge in enterprise security and regulatory compliance.
