Engineering Manager - Delivery Management

Overview

The Engineering Manager will serve a crucial function in guaranteeing project success by orchestrating various activities, resources, and information flow among stakeholders at the client site. This role demands technical proficiency paired with a strong project management foundation and familiarity with Agile, Kanban, and Scrum frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee delivery roadmaps, allocate resources efficiently, and track performance metrics across several workstreams.
• Comprehend client business demands, industry challenges, and strategic goals to recommend solutions aligned with value creation.
• Engage comprehensively with project phases, including requirements clarification, client liaison, general management, architecture, and technical leadership.
• Work closely with product owners and independent engineering teams to derive holistic solutions.
• Coordinate project-related tasks, supply management, and information dissemination.
• Promote collaboration among engineers, product owners, and client architects.
• Lead executive presentations and status updates, interpreting complex technical ideas into insightful business terms.
• Drive the integration and adoption of AI technologies within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Assist in preparing detailed project plans encompassing timelines and effort estimates.
• Track progress to ensure adherence to planned schedules and objectives.
• Offer technical and operational support to project stakeholders when required.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including calendars, meeting records, and status reports.
• Identify potential risks and issues in projects and implement corresponding mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 13 to 19 years of experience in the software industry with a minimum of 4 years focused on Delivery Management roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects and lead core enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proficient in coding with hands-on experience in Java, .NET, or Python and expertise in Microservices architecture.
• Knowledge and practical application of AI tools within the SDLC, including Model-Driven Code Generation, AI-assisted design, and AI Code Assistants.
• Experience leading enterprise IT initiatives such as digital transformation, cloud migration, data platform development, and application delivery.
• Comprehensive project management experience covering full delivery lifecycle.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.
• Deep understanding of software development processes, engineering principles, languages, and tooling.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Expertise in delivering on public cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in software engineering.
• Previous roles as a software engineer, team lead, and/or solution architect within Agile environments.
• Skilled at diagnosing, debugging, and resolving complex production problems and escalating client issues independently.
• Capable of leading client meetings and calls autonomously.
