Role Summary

This fully remote role based in India focuses on innovating, architecting, and delivering complex critical systems aligning with key business goals. The Engineering Manager is responsible for mentoring and developing their team, instituting best practices, and continuously enhancing the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and available systems to solve challenging problems.
• Implement and enforce best practices while driving constant improvements across development processes.
• Define strategic roadmaps for system and product expansion, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, business analysts, and product managers in an Agile setting by providing delivery timelines and estimates.
• Foster professional growth by establishing clear career pathways and delivering ongoing mentorship and performance evaluations.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• 8-12 years of professional experience in reputable product-based companies, ideally including startups.
• Extensive expertise in scalable web back-end, streaming technologies, full stack development, and managing production and performance challenges across diverse platforms.
• Strong understanding of large-scale, transactional, complex web and desktop systems architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in recruiting, nurturing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams, with startup experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of business processes and their technological applications for efficiency and automation.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities alongside hands-on experience designing and scaling intricate systems horizontally and vertically.
• Passion for contributing to a growing product startup with visionary outlook and innovative drive.
