Engineering Manager - C++

Overview

Adobe's Customer Experience Orchestration (CXO) initiative plays a crucial role in enabling enterprises to deliver tailored and seamless customer experiences at scale. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team within Adobe Campaign, with a special emphasis on spearheading the product's security strategy alongside broader technical and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and nurture software engineers, fostering career growth and building a high-achieving team.
• Own and manage the security vision for Adobe Campaign, collaborating closely with internal security and engineering teams to identify risks, prioritize mitigation, and enhance security posture.
• Guide technical execution, architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, reliable, and maintainable system design.
• Drive engineering best practices focused on software quality, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product management, architecture, quality engineering, and security stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and architectural challenges.
• Continuously improve engineering workflows, processes, and team practices.
• Participate actively in recruitment and career development of engineering staff.
• Effectively manage and coordinate geographically dispersed teams within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, combined with experience leading engineering teams.
• Proficiency in microservices architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructures, design patterns, and relevant frameworks.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles and system design.
• Expertise in application security and vulnerability management within enterprise SaaS, including threat modeling, secure code review, and remediation of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities such as injection flaws, broken authentication, CSRF, SSRF, XXE, XSS, and complex pre-auth RCE chains across native C++, server-side JavaScript, web, and SOAP/REST interfaces.
• Experience in AI leadership, particularly with large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and AI-assisted development techniques to enhance code quality and security review efficiency.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS and/or Azure, alongside modern engineering tools and best practices.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Python, or comparable languages.
• Demonstrated experience delivering scalable and robust enterprise-level software products.
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record in leading security initiatives for enterprise software.
• Knowledge of security scanning tools, CVE remediation processes, authentication and authorization mechanisms, threat modeling, and compliance standards.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise SaaS solutions.
