Engineering Lead

Role Summary

Quik Hire Staffing is seeking an Engineering Lead to remotely oversee and expand a software engineering team. This full-time position involves hands-on leadership that balances technical execution and team management to deliver the product roadmap effectively.

Core Responsibilities

• Guide a team of 5 to 10 engineers in delivering product objectives.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, career growth discussions, and performance evaluations.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for engineering staff.
• Partner with senior engineers to make informed architectural and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with product and design teams on planning, scope definition, and delivery timelines.
• Establish and refine engineering practices, standards, and team ceremonies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience in software engineering including at least 2 years in engineering management.
• Proven leadership of teams consistently delivering high-quality software products.
• Strong technical expertise recognized by senior engineering peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to clearly articulate technical concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
• Ability to balance technical contributions with people leadership responsibilities.
