About the Role

The Engineering Coordinator position is based at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. This role supports the daily functions of the Engineering Department by managing administrative tasks, organizing maintenance activities, and ensuring timely completion of work orders. The coordinator acts as a key liaison between the Engineering team, other hotel departments, and external vendors to uphold the facility's maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize daily maintenance requests and assign tasks to the engineering staff.
• Track and ensure completion of Preventive Maintenance schedules as planned.
• Keep accurate records, logs, and reports related to engineering operations.
• Update the maintenance system with status and completion of work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with departments such as Housekeeping, Front Office, and Security.
• Manage purchase requests and monitor stock levels of parts and supplies.
• Schedule contractor visits and oversee service appointments and annual checks.
• Maintain documentation including equipment manuals, warranties, and compliance certificates.
• Compile and submit regular engineering reports for management review.
• Assist in managing attendance, leave, work schedules, and overtime records for engineering staff.
• Record utility meter readings and maintain reports on energy consumption.
• Promptly handle departmental communications including emails and phone calls.
• Support preparation for internal and external audits by organizing required paperwork.
• Ensure adherence to hotel policies, safety guidelines, and brand standards.
• Perform other administrative responsibilities as directed by senior engineering management.
