Job Overview
Become a part of our innovative software development team focused on creating advanced software for scientific instruments and platforms. In this role, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain software enabling cutting-edge research in areas including cancer treatment, environmental safety, and novel materials. Our technology environment incorporates cloud computing, microservices architecture, and a modern set of development tools.
Work Schedule and Environment
- Standard workweek: Monday to Friday
- Work setting: Office environment
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, combined with at least three years of software development experience
- Proficient in object-oriented programming and utilizing design patterns effectively
- Hands-on experience programming in Java and Typescript
- Familiarity with current software development methodologies including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), version control systems, and automated testing
- Experience working within agile development frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across functional teams
- Knowledgeable in database design concepts and SQL querying
- Experienced with development tools such as Git, JIRA, and modern integrated development environments (IDEs)
- Skilled at producing clean, maintainable, and well-commented code
- Quick learner adaptable to emerging technologies
- Preferred: familiarity with test-driven development (TDD)
- Bonus: exposure to UI frameworks and web technologies
- Understanding of software security principles and best practices
