Role Overview
The Engagement Manager plays a vital role in SailPoint's Professional Services team, managing project execution and sales-related responsibilities to ensure successful delivery of SailPoint solutions. This position requires self-motivation, excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, and the capability to handle multiple assignments and client interactions at various organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement services accurately and ensure timely, correct billing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally in the sales cycle, handling service-related deal components including presentations, RFPs, and proposals or statements of work.
- Engage with sales representatives and leadership during pre-sales and delivery stages.
- Act as the primary contact for clients to address issues and escalations.
- Oversee financial aspects of multiple projects, focusing on profitability and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Resourcing Management Office to staff projects effectively based on requirements.
- Manage projects end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as scope, status, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, and issues.
- Provide strategic performance updates to Senior Management and regularly inform account teams and Sales Managers.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers to sustain customer success throughout implementations.
- Identify opportunities to expand usage of SailPoint products and services to enhance client outcomes and drive revenue growth.
- Guide and support team members in career progression through coaching and feedback.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 5 to 7+ years in enterprise software vendors, systems integrators, or consulting firms, including at least 3 years in a client-facing Engagement or Project Manager role.
- Demonstrates strong mentorship and leadership skills with a commitment to ongoing improvement.
- Experienced in project management tasks such as planning, budgeting, scope management, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects successfully.
- Prior experience working with SaaS products is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with extensive client and partner interaction experience.
- Highly organized and adept at multitasking.
- Background collaborating with sales teams on defining service scopes for enterprise software projects.
Additional Information
- Travel requirement: Willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Work Location: Positions available in Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
