About the Role

Join our team at APM in Rosny Park, Tasmania, as an Employment Consultant dedicated to making a tangible difference by assisting individuals with disabilities and other barriers to secure meaningful employment. This role blends client support with business development, where you'll be instrumental in matching candidates to suitable job opportunities, working directly with participants to prepare them for employment, and engaging local employers to create sustainable job pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with participants to comprehend their career objectives and enhance their readiness for work.
• Guide and coach participants to improve job readiness, build interview confidence, and prepare effective resumes.
• Support access to training and upskilling to improve participants' employment prospects.
• Advocate on behalf of participants to employers to secure job placements and participate in active employer engagement through cold calls, visits, and face-to-face meetings.
• Maintain and grow a robust employer network, identifying hidden job prospects and negotiating employment arrangements including job trials, work experience, and wage subsidies.
• Monitor and document participant progress and ensure compliance with program requirements while achieving KPIs and employment outcomes.
• Celebrate and reinforce successful placements to boost participant confidence and ongoing engagement.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Australian work eligibility is mandatory.
• Must hold a current driver’s license and have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Required to possess a MyGovID at the Standard level.
• Willingness to undertake a National Police Check and pass a Working with Children Check.
• Availability to work full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
