About the Role

Join EY as an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Wellington, New Zealand. In this position, you will support EY's leaders in managing employee relations concerns while fostering an inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. You will collaborate with the Oceania Employee Relations Centre of Excellence, advising leaders, managing cases, and developing expertise in employee relations best practices, employment law, and workplace risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership across EY to deliver practical advice on a variety of employee relations issues such as performance management, probation, and fitness for work.
  • Assist Employee Relations Managers with complex cases involving investigations, restructures, disciplinary actions, and risk management.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and projects driven by Employee Relations and Talent teams to continuously improve and enrich the employee experience across the Oceania region.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience providing employee relations guidance in HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or Employee Relations roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment legislation coupled with the ability to implement pragmatic, commercially sound solutions to workplace challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills, capable of influencing and managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferably, 2 to 3+ years supporting employee relations case management including performance, conduct, probation, or wellbeing.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability balancing employee experience, business needs, and risk factors.
  • A proactive approach with enthusiasm for continuous learning, collaboration, and improvement.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
