Emergency Room General Physician

Job Overview

The role involves diagnosing and managing minor illnesses, performing patient examinations, collecting medical histories, prescribing treatments and medications, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. The physician will also counsel patients regarding diet, hygiene, and preventive health measures tailored to their individual conditions, with referrals to specialized care when necessary. This may also include providing video consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and document clinical findings accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Inform patients about their health issues, required investigations, treatment options, and prescribed medications.
• Promote health awareness and educate patients on disease prevention strategies.
• Order diagnostic tests and analyze their outcomes.
• Prescribe appropriate medication based on clinical assessment.
• Conduct additional duties as per specialty areas and clinical privileges.
• Administer vaccinations when applicable.
• Identify and refer cases requiring specialist consultation to appropriate clinic departments.

Work Conditions

• Indoor work environment exclusively.
• Workweek consists of six working days and one day off.
• Standard shift includes 8 net working hours scheduled by the department head.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from an accredited institution and hold a SCHS license.
• At least one year of clinical experience is required.
• Proficiency with office software and Healthcare Information Systems is necessary.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic languages.
