Data Privacy Senior Specialist

Overview

This role focuses on ensuring adherence to data privacy laws and organizational policies to protect sensitive customer and internal data, including health and employee records. It involves managing risk assessments, handling data breaches, and applying evolving technologies and legal frameworks to safeguard information.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data protection strategies aligned with departmental directives to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
• Respond to data privacy queries, manage incidents and breaches promptly to minimize impact and apply appropriate protocols.
• Improve legal compliance to protect the company from legal and reputational risks by aligning data handling with relevant privacy regulations.
• Continuously update data privacy policies to reflect changes in legislation and business requirements.
• Protect sensitive data by implementing effective controls to prevent unauthorized access and breaches.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, document findings, and mitigate vulnerabilities in data privacy processes.
• Track, report, and resolve data privacy incidents swiftly to reduce adverse effects.
• Maintain a centralized and regularly updated repository of data privacy information and policies for organizational reference.

Work Environment

• Indoor work environment (100%) across multiple sites.
• Five working days per week with two days off.
• Work hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM including a one-hour break.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of three years' experience in data privacy, data protection, or related IT sectors.
• Proficient with database management systems such as SQL and Oracle.
• Skilled in data analysis tools including Excel, SAS, R, or Python.
• Knowledgeable in encryption tools and compliance software supporting legal frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Fluent in English and Arabic languages.
