Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer based in Hyderabad with 4 to 9 years of professional background. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance firmware for microcontrollers, including ARM and RISC-V based boards.
- Write embedded C/C++ code for Internet of Things (IoT) and connected device applications.
- Integrate various sensors and actuators with microcontroller platforms.
- Implement wireless communication standards such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and MQTT protocols.
- Architect firmware to enable seamless cloud connectivity.
- Create test procedures and unit tests for firmware validation.
- Identify and debug issues at the hardware-firmware interface using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Work alongside hardware engineers to align PCB design with firmware requirements and constraints.
- Provide clear firmware interface specifications to backend developers responsible for cloud API design.
- Resolve firmware-related problems encountered during testing phases.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and perform source code version control using GitHub.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in programming microcontrollers such as STM32, ARM Cortex, and Arduino platforms.
- Strong embedded C/C++ programming capabilities.
- Experience with IoT communication protocols including MQTT, CoAP, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Skilled in hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Hands-on experience with sensor calibration and their integration.
- Understanding of real-time systems and techniques for low-power optimization.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience in IoT product lifecycle development.
- Knowledge of power management and battery optimization techniques.
- Awareness of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) considerations.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies.
