Electronic Security Technician

Role Overview

Join Chubb Fire & Security as an Electronic Security Technician, focusing on servicing and maintaining advanced electronic security solutions. Based in Auckland with office facilities in Mt Wellington, you will contribute to the upkeep and fault resolution of high-level security systems at various client locations, ensuring strict compliance with New Zealand industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor installations for enterprise-grade electronic security infrastructure.
• Maintain and manage intruder alarms, sophisticated access control systems (such as Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, and ICT Protege), and enterprise CCTV systems including platforms like Milestone and Avigilon.
• Conduct compliance assessments and generate detailed technical service documentation and reports.
• Diagnose and resolve faults within integrated security solutions deployed in live environments.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians, project leaders and subcontractors to ensure superior delivery of projects and services.
• Maintain a strong customer-oriented approach when representing the company onsite.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work within New Zealand.
• Possession of a current full driving license and a valid Certificate of Approval (COA).
• Capacity to achieve and sustain additional site and client-specific security clearances as necessary.
• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise electronic security systems.
• Relevant manufacturer certifications, particularly including Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, ICT Protege, Milestone, and Avigilon.
• Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on time management, effective scheduling, and route planning.
• Capability to produce clear, precise, and comprehensive service and compliance reports.
• A proactive, dependable attitude and a commitment to safety standards.
• Up-to-date understanding of New Zealand's regulatory frameworks and industry norms.
• Proficiency with mobile technologies and applications such as FieldService for work order and schedule management.
