Electrician

About the Role

Equans is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their Oxford-based team on a permanent, full-time basis working 40 hours per week, supporting the Moderna contract. The role offers a competitive salary accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) accurately as per maintenance specifications, documenting in real time via PDA, including logging start, wait, stop, completion, and travel times with detailed comments as proof of task completion.
• Maintain various electrical systems, including but not limited to electrical distribution, generator testing, air handling units, and pumps.
• Carry out weekly fire alarm tests, monthly emergency lighting checks, HVAC system maintenance, address heating and cooling problems, perform electrical fault diagnostics, and repair lighting systems.
• Complete all necessary paperwork related to PPM, reactive, and breakdown work promptly and submit to the contract administrator; fill out supplementary documents or electronic forms as directed by the line manager.
• Update the customer’s Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system in real time with task statuses, detailed work descriptions, and note any required follow-up work.
• Handle reactive maintenance tasks across the site proactively by identifying areas for improvement; report all plant failures through quotation forms to line managers and log these in the CAFM system.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as part of the team responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Electrical C&G or a comparable qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Compliance with BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Qualifications in Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation and AM2 certification.
• Previous experience working with electrical systems in building services Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) environments.
• Post-qualification practical experience is required.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection certification is desirable.
• Ability to pass a DBS Basic Check, as required for this role.
