Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance Team in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty. This role focuses on hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure the operational safety and dependability of our complex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance on ropeways and control systems.
  • Provide expert knowledge on electrical installations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and proactively address electrical, control, and some mechanical issues.
  • Maintain plant and equipment with your electrical expertise.
  • Manage equipment breakdowns efficiently to reduce downtime.
  • Keep electrical documentation and certification accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee purchasing and inventory of critical spare parts.
  • Assist the IT department with hardware projects and fixing defects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess New Zealand Electrical Registration and a valid practising licence.
  • Minimum of five years industry experience, particularly in electrical installations.
  • Experience working with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Skilled in maintenance and fault diagnosis across electrical and mechanical machinery.
  • Refrigeration knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Physically able to work at heights.
  • Strong team collaborator who can also function autonomously.
  • Holds a current, full, and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
