Electrician

About the Role

Join Electrohire's expanding team as a qualified Electrician, specializing in maintaining and servicing construction hoists and lifting equipment. This role involves troubleshooting electrical faults, repairing systems, and supporting equipment installation and commissioning across Southeast Queensland.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair electrical systems on construction hoists and lifting apparatus.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues in motors, control circuits, and safety mechanisms.
• Assist with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents accurately.
• Visit various customer sites to promptly address and reduce equipment downtime.
• Keep detailed service records and ensure compliance with electrical safety and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Holding a valid Queensland electrical licence.
• Proven experience with construction hoists, lifting equipment, or rigging-related electrical systems.
• Strong skills in electrical fault detection and troubleshooting, particularly with motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or control setups.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Current driver’s licence with readiness for travel throughout Southeast Queensland, sometimes extending to regional sites.
• High regard for safety, self-motivation, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
