About the Role
CSL Behring invites applications for the position of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Engineer to join their afternoon shift team at the Broadmeadows site, Victoria. This role reports directly to the Senior Maintenance Manager for Electrical & Instrumentation and involves supervising a team of E&I technicians. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering safe, timely, superior quality, and compliant maintenance services for various internal stakeholders at a leading global manufacturer of life-saving medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert support for breakdowns including troubleshooting and technical escalation management.
- Oversee configuration and calibration activities for instruments and electrical systems.
- Compile detailed job packs such as isolation procedures based on P&ID diagrams for calibration and maintenance tasks conducted by relevant trades.
- Manage calibration and maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation equipment safely and in compliance with applicable standards for manufacturing plants.
- Coordinate daily work allocation, addressing both reactive and proactive maintenance needs.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with varied site groups including customers and support departments.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering with a specialization in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- Additional qualifications or background in trades related to Electrical and/or Instrumentation are advantageous.
- A proactive approach to build effective relationships with technicians and multiple stakeholders is essential.
- A passion for challenges and a drive to enhance continuous improvement within a highly regulated environment are expected.
- Relevant experience in operational settings such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, FMCG, oil & gas, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and FDA-regulated manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance, especially concerning instrument calibration, is strongly preferred.
- A strong emphasis on safety and leading teams through maintenance activities without compromising safety standards.
- Proven ability to meet timelines and effectively manage trade workloads to adhere to schedules.
- Experience working with diverse electrical and instrumentation devices such as temperature, pressure, flow, UV, and conductivity instruments.
