Role Overview
Ventia is seeking to hire 12 experienced Electrical Fitters to become integral members of our high-performing team stationed in Christchurch. This position involves working in a high-voltage substation setting featuring diverse responsibilities such as maintenance, installation, and commissioning tasks concerning transformers, circuit breakers, voltage/current transformers, protection relays, battery banks, and low voltage electrical systems.
Candidate Profile
- Must hold and actively maintain a valid EWRB practicing license.
- Possession of a full, clean New Zealand Class 1 Driver's License is required.
- At least 5 years of practical experience working within the High Voltage electrical sector.
- Certified Electrician registered or eligible for registration in New Zealand.
- Strong skills in written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, and effective problem-solving.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of, and compliance with, health and safety regulations relevant to the High Voltage industry.
