Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Electrical Estimator to join MeTiger Inc. remotely. This position entails developing comprehensive electrical cost estimates for construction projects. Main duties include quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and preparation of bid proposals. The estimator will review project drawings and specifications, assess electrical systems, uncover cost reduction opportunities, and contribute to cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role necessitates collaboration with project managers, contractors, and engineers to clarify project scope, resolve technical inquiries, and ensure estimates correspond with project documentation and budget plans. The Electrical Estimator will also participate in tender assessments, change order analyses, and financial reporting to maintain accurate and transparent project budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze electrical drawings and specifications to develop pricing and bid proposals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams to verify scope and resolve technical issues.
• Support cost control efforts, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in evaluating tenders, assessing change orders, and producing financial reports to support project transparency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in electrical estimating techniques, including quantity take-offs and bid preparation.
• Understanding of cost control measures such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience in electrical contracting with knowledge of construction processes and tendering.
• Strong foundation in electrical principles and their application within building systems.
• Educational background in electrical engineering, construction management, or equivalent technical training.
• Competent with estimating software and office productivity tools including Excel and PDF markup utilities.
• Adept at reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for clear remote collaboration with diverse project stakeholders.
• Experience in consulting or project management environments is advantageous.
