Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Duct Cleaning Technician with extensive experience in HVAC duct cleaning to join our team at a client site in the UAE. The successful candidate will have at least four years of practical exposure in duct cutting, installing access panels, mechanical duct cleaning, as well as operating negative-pressure cleaning systems.
Key Duties
- Conduct HVAC duct cleaning using approved mechanical, vacuum, and negative-pressure equipment.
- Perform duct cutting, create access points, install access panels, and properly seal these openings upon task completion.
- Manage entire duct cleaning operations from site preparation through to restoration.
- Inspect duct systems pre- and post-cleaning, reporting observations to the supervisor or project engineer.
- Safely operate and maintain duct cleaning machinery, tools, and accessories.
- Adhere strictly to method statements, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, team members, and clients during execution on site.
- Ensure correct collection and disposal of dust, debris, and other waste materials.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping at the workplace.
- Perform work safely in confined spaces and at heights as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in HVAC duct cleaning.
- Proven expertise in duct cutting and creating and securing access points.
- Proficiency in operating duct cleaning machines, including vacuum and negative-pressure systems.
- Solid understanding of HVAC ductwork and cleaning protocols.
- Ability to interpret simple drawings, site directions, and method statements.
- Knowledgeable about workplace safety and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physically fit to handle site duties and equipment.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education
Preferably holds technical certification or vocational training in HVAC, Mechanical, or similar disciplines. Additional credentials in duct cleaning or HVAC-related training are advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Monthly salary ranging between AED 2,000 and AED 2,500, accompanied by accommodation and additional benefits.
Important Notes
Applicants lacking direct and relevant hands-on experience in HVAC duct cleaning may not be considered.
