Functioning similarly to a shuttle service, PTI operates around the clock to fulfill train crew pickup and drop-off requests from railroad clients.
Role Overview
As a PTI Van Driver based in Chattanooga, TN, you will be tasked with safely transporting railroad crew members to designated locations as requested by the railroad clients. Trips vary in distance and timing depending on client requirements. Ensuring safety at all times is paramount. No prior professional driving experience is required to join our team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting hourly wages: $13.00 for DYV drivers, $14.00 for MPV and OTR drivers.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and promote awareness at all times.
- Ensure punctual performance to meet customer scheduling needs.
- Transport customers safely to and from specified destinations.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout each trip.
- Communicate efficiently and promptly with the Dispatch Center.
- Manage opening and closing of vehicle doors and hatches for crew members.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report any defects, mechanical issues, or missing items to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Have a minimum of three years driving experience, whether personal or employment-related.
- Successfully pass a post-offer drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and homeland security background check.
- Ability to arrive at the branch location within 30 minutes to ensure timely departures.
