Job Responsibilities
As a Driver Operator, you'll be key to supporting pavement and chip sealing projects across Whanganui. Your duties will include transporting materials and equipment, operating truck & trailer units or chip sealing machinery, and working closely with a small, dedicated crew to deliver safe, high-quality construction and maintenance results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a full Class 4 or Class 5 driving licence
- Experienced in operating truck & trailer combos and/or chip sealing equipment
- WTR endorsements are preferred but not mandatory
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards on active worksites
- Good spatial awareness and confidence working in confined spaces
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and reliability
- Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in various conditions
