Job Responsibilities

As a Driver Operator, you'll be key to supporting pavement and chip sealing projects across Whanganui. Your duties will include transporting materials and equipment, operating truck & trailer units or chip sealing machinery, and working closely with a small, dedicated crew to deliver safe, high-quality construction and maintenance results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a full Class 4 or Class 5 driving licence
• Experienced in operating truck & trailer combos and/or chip sealing equipment
• WTR endorsements are preferred but not mandatory
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards on active worksites
• Good spatial awareness and confidence working in confined spaces
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and reliability
• Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in various conditions
