This role goes beyond just driving; you will operate specialized vehicles such as vacuum, hydro excavation, and catchpit trucks, engaging physically alongside your team to successfully complete a broad variety of infrastructure tasks throughout the Taupo region.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate Class 4 vacuum, hydro excavation, and catchpit trucks.
- Manage vacuum, water blasting, suction, and related equipment.
- Perform catchpit cleaning and drainage maintenance duties.
- Carry out hydro excavation and vacuum loading operations.
- Set up and dismantle equipment as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Engage in manual labor tasks as required.
- Complete all job documentation and records accurately.
- Collaborate closely with your crew to ensure safe and efficient work at a high standard.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is dependable, practical, and eager to engage in hands-on work. A full Class 4 NZ Driver Licence and experience operating heavy vehicles is essential. A good physical condition and readiness to perform physical tasks is important. You must have a strong work ethic, be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous learning. The ability to function both independently and within a team setting is necessary.
Experience with vacuum trucks, hydro excavation, catchpit cleaning, drainage, or specialized equipment is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates.
Why Join InterGroup?
- Operate industry-leading specialized equipment daily rather than just driving standard vehicles.
- Experience a variety of tasks and locations that keep your workdays engaging and dynamic.
- Work with a skilled team that values safety, cooperation, and quality workmanship.
- Opportunity to grow your skills and career within a renowned infrastructure and industrial services company.
- Enjoy stable, permanent, full-time employment with chances for progression.
