Role Overview
This full-time onsite position in Dubai seeks a skilled Driver to operate company trucks for transporting materials, equipment, and documents to and from project locations, offices, and client destinations. The role demands ensuring vehicle safety through routine inspections, following designated routes and schedules, and adhering strictly to local traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive company trucks to transfer materials, equipment, and documents across sites and offices.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure operational safety and vehicle condition.
- Comply with established routes, delivery schedules, and traffic laws.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of vehicles.
- Report any mechanical problems promptly to maintenance teams.
- Coordinate with project teams and administrative staff to guarantee timely and efficient deliveries.
- Represent GEO professionally in all interactions with internal staff and external contacts.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise in truck operation and commercial vehicle driving with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license with a clean driving history.
- Solid understanding of road traffic regulations applicable within Dubai and the UAE.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service to colleagues, clients, and site personnel.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical awareness.
- Capability to interpret and adhere to delivery schedules and safety procedures.
- Previous experience driving in Dubai or UAE is highly preferred.
- Dependable time management skills and basic command of English; Arabic language skills are an additional advantage.
