Drilling Operator

Overview

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Drilling Operator to join our growing team at Kaki Bukit, Singapore. The role involves performing diverse machining tasks within assigned departments under direct supervision, ensuring timely and accurate test results.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drilling rigs competently, executing drilling activities safely and efficiently.
• Consistently obtain high-quality soil and rock samples.
• Assist geologists in performing in-situ soil assessments.
• Conduct drilling operations and install borehole equipment such as water stand pipes, piezometers, and inclinometers.
• Perform daily safety inspections and maintenance to keep the rig in optimal condition.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Practical, hands-on work experience with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Prior involvement in engineering-related environments is a plus.
• Experience in mechanical testing settings considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, like ISO 17025, is beneficial.
• Self-driven technician capable of multitasking, organizing, and working effectively under pressure in a commercial testing laboratory.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
