Position Overview

The Doorman at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in West Bay, Doha, Qatar, serves as the welcoming face of the property, providing courteous assistance to guests as they enter and leave. This role includes greeting guests, escorting them to rooms, and informing them about hotel services and local attractions.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their rooms while opening doors and assisting with arrivals and departures.
• Inform guests about hotel amenities, operating hours, local points of interest, and activities.
• Explain room features such as the room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, and laundry services.
• Handle guest luggage by transporting it to and from rooms or designated areas, including storage and retrieval.
• Assist guests with entering and exiting vehicles and managing their luggage during these times.
• Provide guests with directions and arrange various transportation options like taxis, shuttle buses, or limousines; document advance requests accordingly.
• Communicate parking procedures clearly to guests and visitors.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, promptly report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Monitor the premises for unauthorized or suspicious persons to maintain security.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance, and safeguard confidential information.
• Ensure courteous communication with guests, including accommodating individuals with disabilities and expressing genuine appreciation.
• Answer telephones professionally and engage in positive interactions with colleagues to foster a collaborative environment.
• Comply with quality assurance standards set by the organization.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, lifting objects up to 50 pounds unassisted, and heavier items with help, navigating uneven surfaces, stairs, and ramps.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• At minimum, possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification (G.E.D.).
• No prior work or supervisory experience is required.
• No licenses or certifications are necessary.
