Typical Day-to-Day

• Deliver comprehensive grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, combing, and breed-specific clip styles
• Create positive and memorable experiences for dogs and their owners
• Partner with the Store Manager to organize salon operations and client scheduling
• Handle appointment bookings independently
• Support the store’s retail team by delivering outstanding customer service
• Maintain high standards of salon cleanliness and manage stock levels
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet member program goals
• Engage in local marketing initiatives and recruitment referrals
• Work collectively with the team to meet and surpass sales targets
• Promote and uphold a robust safety culture within the team

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in professional dog grooming is preferred
• Formal certification in grooming is an advantage though not mandatory
• Strong commitment to implementing and maintaining safety protocols in the salon
• Good knowledge of breed-specific clipping styles and product branding
• Physically capable of lifting large animals as required
• Proven skills in handling live animals with care
• Advanced awareness of zoonotic and dermatological conditions affecting pets
• Track record of exceeding grooming performance indicators through quality care and client satisfaction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues
• Meticulous attention to detail
