We operate a diverse $20 billion asset portfolio, managing over 15,000 kilometers of gas pipelines delivering essential services nationwide. As part of our Infrastructure Engineering team in Perth, we are offering an exciting full-time, permanent position for a Document Controller, reporting to the Team Leader of Document Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily document control operations to ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly archived within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) or Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Coordinate the process for review, approval, and dissemination of engineering documents, contractor submissions, and project handover materials.
- Maintain strict adherence to document governance including versioning, naming standards, filing structures, and compliance with quality and audit demands.
- Establish and maintain collaborative and proactive relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders and customers.
- Provide training and ongoing support to project teams and contractors on document control procedures, while identifying and recommending improvements to document management processes and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated prior experience in document control or records management within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with EDMS or CDE platforms such as Forma, InEight, or Aconex.
- Good understanding of engineering documentation including drawings, document lifecycle management, and handover protocols.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams and provide best practice guidance.
