Job description
Role Overview
As a Dispenser at our pharmacy store in Ludlow, you will be an essential member of the healthcare team, assisting pharmacists and other healthcare workers to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services. Your daily tasks include engaging with patients to understand their needs, handling prescriptions safely, and providing informed advice to support health and wellbeing choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and managing collection procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to help manage and deliver a variety of pharmacy services.
- Offer care and advice regarding medications and direct patient queries to the Pharmacist when needed.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Keep current with store innovations and operational protocols.
- Assist patients with prescription management, promoting adherence and minimizing waste.
- Engage with evolving store technology to enhance traditional dispensing and increase patient interaction time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent), or currently in progress with at least the first year completed of an MPharm degree.
- Valid UK right to work status; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Community pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

This is a store-based role within the UK, and remote candidates without local eligibility and qualifications will not be considered.
