Job Overview
Join our pharmacy team at Boots UK as a Dispenser in a store located in Colchester, England. This part-time position involves supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and safe delivery of pharmacy and health services. The work requires direct interaction with patients and customers within the store, emphasizing relationship-building and healthcare advice.
Key Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and safely, including tasks like ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage pharmacy services delivery.
- Advise patients on medicines and health, escalating queries to pharmacists where necessary.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to maintain legal and safety standards during dispensing.
- Keep updated on store innovations and comply with all operational practices.
- Assist patients in managing prescription processes to encourage adherence and minimize waste.
- Utilize evolving in-store technologies that enhance dispensing efficiency and patient interaction.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or be in progress with at least one year of an MPharm qualification.
- Possession of a valid UK right to work document is required; Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
