About the Role

Join the pharmacy team at one of our physical store locations as a Dispenser, playing a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services. Your responsibilities will include interacting with patients to understand their needs, dispensing prescriptions, managing medicine safety, and providing informed healthcare advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring medications are supplied safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to effectively manage and deliver pharmacy services within the store.
  • Offer guidance to patients on medicines and refer any complex queries to the pharmacist as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures for legal and safe dispensing of medicines.
  • Stay informed about store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
  • Assist patients in managing prescription processes and medicine adherence to ensure efficient use and reduce waste.
  • Utilize evolving in-store technological systems aimed at enhancing dispensing processes and patient safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or an equivalent credential, or be enrolled in an MPharm program having completed at least the first year.
  • Hold valid UK work authorization; this role does not support Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
  • Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

The hourly pay starts at £13.92, reaching up to £16.64 for selected London locations.

Additional Details
