Role Overview: General Utility / Dishwasher

The Dishwasher contributes by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen workspaces, equipment, plates, and utensils. This role also supports food preparation and participates in cross-training across various kitchen duties as part of the Kitchen Team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Remove food residue and pre-rinse dishes before loading into dishwashing machines (approximately 50%).
• Wash pots, pans, and trays manually or with machines (around 15%).
• Carry out all assigned meal prep tasks (10%).
• Dispose of trash and garbage by transporting it to the dumpster (10%).
• Clean tables, walls, refrigerators, cooking equipment, and floors in work areas (5%).
• Sanitize garbage cans and trash bins (5%).
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle dishwashing equipment (5%).

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

• Motivation to care for others, develop professionally, and learn new skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to transport cases weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Capability to reach high and low shelves for placing plates, utensils, pans, and cases.
• Work environments include mostly indoors (90%) and some outdoor duties (10%).
• Operate effectively in hot and damp conditions.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies to prevent danger to oneself and others.
• Regularly navigate the restaurant, communicate with guests, move and grasp items up to five pounds, lift or move objects up to 25 pounds, and bend or stoop as part of daily duties.
• Possess sufficient vision to assess cleanliness and use a touchscreen interface; reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
