Role Overview: General Utility / Dishwasher

Your mission is to enhance through caring and effective service. Duties include keeping kitchen areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment clean, sanitary, and well-organized. You'll also assist with food preparation and be part of the Kitchen Team, receiving cross-training across kitchen departments.

Responsibilities

• Remove food debris and pre-rinse dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, accounting for roughly half of your time.
• Hand or machine wash pots, pans, and trays (around 15% of duties).
• Complete assigned food preparation tasks (approximately 10%).
• Collect and dispose of trash, transferring it to the dumpster area (10%).
• Clean kitchen work surfaces, walls, refrigeration units, cooking equipment, and floors (5%).
• Maintain cleanliness of garbage cans and trash containers (5%).
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle the dishwashing machine during shifts (5%).

Qualifications and Standards

• Strong willingness to care for others, learn, and grow professionally.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Capability to place items such as plates and utensils on shelving at varying heights.
• Work environment involves primarily indoor tasks (about 90%), with some outdoor tasks (10%).
• Frequently operate in hot and humid conditions.
• Must promptly react in emergencies to prevent danger to self and others.

Physical Requirements

This role entails several physical duties. Regularly, you will navigate the restaurant and communicate with guests, handle items up to five pounds, lift or move objects up to 25 pounds, and perform bending and stooping movements. Adequate vision is necessary to ensure cleanliness standards and operate touchscreen devices. Reasonable accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities.
