Role Overview: Dishwasher / General Utility

We are inviting candidates who want to make a difference by demonstrating care and teamwork. As a dishwasher, you will ensure cleanliness and order in kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. Additionally, you'll support food preparation tasks and receive cross-training in various kitchen responsibilities as a Kitchen Team member.

Primary Duties

• Scrape and pre-rinse dishes to prepare them for washing machines (approximately 50% of duties).
• Hand wash pots, pans, and trays or use dishwashing machines (about 15%).
• Complete assigned food preparation tasks (10%).
• Dispose of trash and garbage by transporting it to the dumpster area (10%).
• Clean work area surfaces including tables, walls, refrigerators, cooking equipment, and floors (5%).
• Sanitize garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Assemble, maintain, and disassemble dishwashing machines as needed (5%).

Required Qualifications

• Strong willingness to care for others, develop, and learn new skills.
• Positive and motivated attitude.
• Ability to carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Capability to place items like plates, utensils, and pans on both high and low shelving.
• Comfort working primarily indoors (90%) with some outdoor exposure (10%).
• Ability to work in hot and humid conditions.
• Preparedness to respond quickly in emergencies to prevent danger.

Physical Demands

The role requires navigating throughout the restaurant and communicating with guests. Frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 25 pounds and occasional grasping of lighter items are essential. Tasks involve bending and stooping, and good vision is necessary to assess cleanliness and operate touchscreens. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
