Role Overview

The position available is General Utility / Dishwasher. The primary purpose of this role is to support the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishware. This role also involves assisting with food prep and learning various kitchen functions through cross-training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and pre-rinse food from soiled dishes and load them into the dishwasher (50%).
• Wash pots, pans, and trays manually or using machines (15%).
• Conduct assigned food preparation tasks (10%).
• Dispose of trash and garbage in designated dumpster zones (10%).
• Clean surfaces including tables, walls, refrigerators, cooking equipment, and floors (5%).
• Sanitize garbage bins and trash receptacles (5%).
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle dishwashing machines as needed (5%).

Essential Qualifications and Physical Demands

• Genuine eagerness to care for others, show growth, and learn new skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Able to carry cases weighting up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the day.
• Capability to store plates, utensils, cookware, and cases on both high and low shelving.
• Primarily works indoors (approximately 90%) with some outdoor exposure (around 10%).
• Comfortable working in hot and humid environments.
• Must react promptly to emergencies to ensure safety.

Physical expectations include navigating the restaurant while communicating with patrons, lifting/moving up to 25 pounds regularly, bending, stooping, and having keen eyesight for cleanliness checks and touchscreen operation. Reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities.
