Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Dishwasher/Steward to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role involves cleaning and transporting cooking utensils and service ware to support kitchen and food service staff, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests. Beyond washing duties, the role also includes maintaining cleanliness of the physical kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort and clean soiled dishes, pots, and pans according to established procedures and promptly return them to their designated storage.
• Maintain and operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring it is clean and properly filled with water as required by hotel standards.
• Thoroughly clean large kitchen equipment such as kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans to facilitate uninterrupted kitchen operations.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks assigned by supervisors, utilizing standard hotel-approved cleaning products to meet health and safety standards.
• Keep floors clean and dry to minimize hazards like slips and falls.
• Use appropriate protective equipment while performing duties.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a current Food Handler Card is preferred.
• Familiarity with service ware maintenance to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Competence in operating commercial kitchen dish machines in compliance with hotel and health department standards.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
