Dishwasher - Full Time

Overview

Flik Independent School Dining is seeking a dedicated full-time Dishwasher to join our team at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. Our organization is committed to providing excellent foodservice experiences through fresh, local ingredients and nutrition education programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils by hand or through dishwashing machinery, ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Scrape and rinse food residue before washing.
• Polish silverware using various equipment and techniques to maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with health regulations.
• Monitor and adjust temperatures and chemical levels as required.
• Organize and keep dishwashing area clean and compliant with safety protocols.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to uphold sanitation standards.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Manage trash disposal including steam cleaning and hosing out garbage bins.
• Assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work zones.
• Help load and unload deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Work Schedule

Full-time schedule with varying days and hours; details will be provided during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranges from $16.50 to $17.00.
