Position Summary

The Dishwasher role requires maintaining all dishware, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly state to support the operation of the foodservice environment at The Rivers School in Weston, MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove food residues from dishes, wash them by hand or load into dishwashing machines ensuring thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays according to established procedures to guarantee sanitary standards.
• Polish silverware using equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths to maintain spotless presentation.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously and maintain appropriate temperatures and chemical concentrations.
• Keep dishwashing areas organized, safe, and compliant with sanitation regulations.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces thoroughly.
• Manage waste by removing trash to proper containers, steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans as needed.
• Support operations by moving supplies and equipment between storage and workspace, including loading and unloading deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dishwashing or a similar sanitation role is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, located onsite at The Rivers School, 333 Winter Street, Weston, MA 02493.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00.
