Position Summary

The Dishwasher role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure a safe and orderly kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Scraping and rinsing food from soiled dishes; washing by hand or loading into dishwashing machines depending on equipment.
• Cleaning pots, pans, and trays according to prescribed procedures ensuring thorough sanitation.
• Polishing silverware using various equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths.
• Adhering to safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitoring and maintaining proper temperatures and chemical levels as per standards.
• Keeping dishwashing areas tidy and compliant with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Cleaning worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Removing trash and placing it in designated containers, including steam cleaning or hosing garbage cans.
• Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed.
• Assisting with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Employment Details

• Location: Effingham Hospital, 459 Highway 119 South, Springfield, GA 31329.
• Schedule: Full-time hours; specific days and shifts vary and will be discussed during the interview.
• No previous experience required; immediate hiring.
• Compensation: Fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour.
