Job Overview
The Dining Services Technician II will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishware, kitchen stations, and various kitchen equipment to support meal preparation and service within a high-volume dining environment. This role contributes to a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen operation while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, cooking pots, and pans, including assisting cooks with pot washing tasks.
- Keep all kitchen workstations and surfaces clean, including the timely disposal of trash.
- Maintain temperature and sanitation logs to ensure adherence to the established procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Replenish shelves to prepare for upcoming meal services, ensuring all necessary wares are stocked.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking shelves in the inventory room and unloading delivery trucks when required.
- Perform additional kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of six months experience working in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Fundamental understanding of sanitation protocols, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
