Position Overview

The Dishwasher role involves operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and storage areas, washing utensils, tools, knives, and ensuring proper storage of clean wares.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing and cleaning machinery efficiently.
• Sanitize kitchen and storage areas, tools, and tables following hygiene standards.
• Manage deliveries, correctly store perishables, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Use detergents and sanitizers in a 3-compartment sink system to wash dishes.
• Inspect and sort cleaned items, resend items for re-cleaning if necessary.
• Handle silverware washing including soaking and re-washing as required.
• Break down and maintain dirty bus tubs, empty trash cans, and keep dumpster areas clean.
• Perform mopping and cleaning tasks within assigned departments.
• Dispose of recyclables including glass and cardboard appropriately.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies, report any hazards or incidents immediately.
• Communicate professionally and foster positive interactions with team members.
• Meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, reaching, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
• Execute other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• No minimum education qualification is required (no high school diploma necessary).
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications are mandatory for this role.
