Position Overview

We seek a General Utility / Dishwasher team member committed to making a difference through service. You will maintain cleanliness and order of kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and plate ware, as well as assist with food preparation. This role requires cross-training to support all kitchen departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrape and pre-rinse food debris from dishes before placing them in the dishwashing machine (50% of time).
• Hand or machine wash pots, pans, and trays (15%).
• Perform all designated food preparation tasks (10%).
• Transport trash and garbage to dumpster (10%).
• Clean kitchen work tables, walls, refrigeration and cooking equipment, and floors (5%).
• Sanitize garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Set up, maintain, and dismantle dishwashing machine (5%).

Qualifications and Requirements

• A genuine desire to care for others, develop professionally, and learn new skills.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Capability to handle physical tasks, including transporting cases weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
• Able to reach both high and low shelves for storing or retrieving plates, utensils, pans, and cases.
• Work environment involves indoor tasks (~90%) and occasional outdoor tasks (~10%).
• Frequent exposure to hot and damp conditions.
• Ability to respond quickly and safely to emergencies to protect self and others.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular navigation within the restaurant and communication with guests. You must be able to move and grasp items up to 5 pounds regularly and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Bending and stooping are part of routine duties. Adequate vision is necessary to ensure cleanliness and to operate touchscreen equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.
