Role Overview
As a Busser, you will play a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience by ensuring all tables and dining areas are clean, safe, and inviting. Your efforts will encourage guests to return and enjoy our hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove dishware and napkins from tables after patrons depart, returning these items to the kitchen.
- Sweep and mop floors as well as chairs around dining tables to maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient stock of glassware, silverware, and dishware is available.
- Clean, sanitize, and prepare tables for incoming guests.
- Replenish condiments such as salt and pepper on tables.
- Help servers with delivering food to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service stations.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks within the restaurant as necessary.
Qualifications and Physical Demands
- Genuine desire to care for others and a willingness to grow and learn.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Capability to clean surfaces thoroughly, including wiping table tops, legs, and booth seats, and picking up debris from floors.
- Physically able to transport plates, glasses, and baskets around 30 times per shift.
- High mobility expected throughout each shift.
Physical demands include navigating the restaurant, communicating with guests, moving items up to five pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds, as well as bending and stooping. Adequate vision is necessary to assess cleanliness and use touchscreen devices. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for disabilities.
