About the Role
Join PwC New Zealand as a Director in the Tax & Enterprise division, where you will provide comprehensive guidance and leadership on a broad spectrum of tax issues including corporate, international, mergers & acquisitions, compliance, and strategic planning. You will support a diverse client base ranging from leading New Zealand brands and global corporations to private enterprises, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusted senior advisory relationships, discerning client requirements and delivering customized tax solutions.
- Oversee multiple tax projects simultaneously, managing budgets, ensuring punctual and superior quality delivery, and seeking opportunities to deepen client engagements.
- Offer expert advice on corporate, international, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and M&A matters, all while staying abreast of shifting legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals, promoting collaboration and contributing to PwC’s leadership programs.
- Influence strategic directions of the Tax & Enterprise team, contribute to market strategies, and pursue growth opportunities.
- Identify potential tax risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with PwC’s policies and standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in tax advisory roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven success in managing extensive portfolios with complex tax matters.
- Exceptional report writing, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of New Zealand and international tax legislation.
