The Director of Security Engineering will lead the Digital Solutions Security Engineering team, focusing on security within Crypto Products, Blockchain Networks, Prepaid Services, Cardholder Services, and Payment Optimization programs. This leadership role involves collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure highest security, compliance, and trust standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a security engineering team, supporting career growth, project execution, and quality standards.
• Enhance team capabilities by defining procedures, developing skills, and achieving scalable consistency.
• Act as a trusted security advisor for technical and business leaders across digital and blockchain products.
• Provide security and regulatory compliance recommendations for new and improved system designs.
• Conduct thorough security assessments for existing and upcoming technologies following internal and industry norms.
• Assist program teams in managing security risks within acceptable limits, including reporting and analysis.
• Shape and enforce security policies, standards, and architectures specifically for cryptocurrency and large-scale products in line with industry guidance.
• Build and maintain strong collaborations with stakeholders such as business owners, users, project managers, engineers, and senior executives.

• Proven leadership in managing security engineers towards secure software product development, particularly in cryptocurrency environments.
• Passionate about cybersecurity governance and controls with strong analytical skills and application security expertise.
• Excellent people management skills to foster team development and experience growth.
• Ability to negotiate trade-offs between business opportunities and risk while maintaining compliance.
• Effective communicative influence translating technical security and risk concepts to business contexts.
• Comprehensive background in security engineering, blending technology, business insight, and risk awareness.
• Strong grasp of cryptographic methods (encryption, hashing, digital signatures) and their blockchain applications.
• In-depth understanding of blockchain security principles and their transformation into requirements.
• Awareness of current best practices, threats, and common vulnerabilities in web security for online transaction safety.
• Confidence in guiding complex technical decisions including cryptography, network design, application security, data protection, and identity/access management.
• Advanced knowledge of security protocols, standards, and secure software design principles.
• Experience with risk-based security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, DORA, Cyber Risk Institute (CRI), or similar regulatory standards.
