Director, Product & Technology Operations

Overview

We are seeking a Director of Business Operations for our Product & Technology Operations team at Lightspeed Commerce. This role involves overseeing and enhancing management systems that unify Product, Engineering, and Design into a cohesive unit. The successful candidate will innovate and optimize planning processes, operating frameworks, executive rhythms, and data insights to enable leadership to make informed decisions, align resources, and drive improved business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and continuously refine annual and quarterly planning workflows that promote clear priorities, better decision-making, and measurable deliverables.
• Develop and expand executive operating structures such as portfolio and business reviews, leadership cadences to ensure accountability and expedite decisions.
• Seek opportunities to simplify and advance collaborative efforts among Product, Engineering, and Design.
• Translate strategic goals into investment plans, trackable outcomes, and portfolio control by partnering with leadership.
• Create executive dashboards and business insights linking investments with customer value and operational success.
• Collaborate with Finance to enhance financial planning, budgeting, workforce management, and investment clarity.
• Forge strong partnerships across Finance, GTM, People, Legal, Corporate Communications, and other functions to improve planning synchronization and organizational transparency.
• Effectively communicate Product & Technology investments, their strategic importance, and results to stakeholders.
• Lead the Business Operations team, coaching and developing talent while encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in shaping or drastically improving operating models, business processes, or mechanisms.
• Track record of leading organizational transformations and operational changes.
• Demonstrated ability in building executive rhythms that drive timely and effective decisions.
• Skilled in aligning strategy with portfolio management, financial planning, and workforce planning.
• Strong executive-level communication and analytical insight capabilities.
• Proficient influencer able to build lasting trusted cross-functional relationships.
• Fluent in English, required for effective communication in our global environment.
