Opportunity Overview

• Lead as a Director in Auckland's Consulting practice, influencing transformational change for clients in industries such as financial services, public sector, utilities, and retail.
• Leverage your expertise in operating model design, performance improvement, organizational change, and service design, frequently at the intersection of process and technology.
• Collaborate internationally with colleagues in Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, and the broader KPMG network.
• Drive business growth through winning engagements and lead teams delivering impactful change.
• Engage in shaping strategy, delivering results, and fostering high-performing teams committed to meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts for consulting services within the Auckland market.
• Design and manage complex change programs utilizing KPMG’s expertise in functional solutions encompassing operating model design, performance improvement, organizational change, and service design.
• Confidently negotiate project scope, timelines, and deliverables managing client expectations effectively.
• Engage stakeholders to support large-scale change initiatives successfully.
• Develop and oversee detailed project plans, including defining terms of reference and identifying risks.
• Ensure engagements meet quality standards while adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Identify and pursue new growth opportunities to enhance the Consulting services portfolio.
• Coach and mentor consulting staff, fostering team development through hands-on leadership.
• Contribute to the innovation, design, and promotion of new service offerings and solutions.
• Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships with government clients.
• Seek and utilize feedback consistently to provide exceptional client service experiences.

Candidate Profile

• At least 10 years of senior-level consulting experience across functional domains such as operating model design, performance enhancement, organizational change, and service design.
• Proven track record in selling and delivering projects that integrate technology and digital enablement to produce substantial client impact.
• Demonstrated success in business development and expanding consulting practices.
• Strong leadership capabilities in guiding teams, mentoring, and building organizational capability.
• Exceptional skills in program management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• Experience delivering advisory services and managing complex organizational changes.
• Collaborative and relationship-oriented approach working across diverse teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications required.
• Experience engaging with government agencies is advantageous.
• A positive, pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
